Tails.ie was set up to enable people involved in the animal industry to easily advertise and search for animals and associated services and equipment throughout Ireland. Having bought and sold animals ourselves in the traditional way and spent numerous wasted journeys and telephone calls only to arrive to view an animal and know at first glance that it was not what we were looking for, we decided there must be an easier and more cost effective method.Also when selling , they say "a picture is worth a thousand words" and certainly this is true when you are trying to explain the qualities of the animal you are selling. We also found that this cuts down on time wasters as well as the opportunity to show your animal at its very best. First impressions count!
Hence from the above we decided that there was a need for a web site to enable people to carry out their business on line from the comfort of their own home/ office. Needless to say, it is also a cheap and effective way to both buy and sell, cutting down overheads dramatically and consequently increasing your profit margins. This will also be value added for the buyer as they will not be paying for overheads incurred by the vendor for advertising / selling.
